Bio

Ms. Dorene Chen Studied with Professor Bing Xu from Sichuan Conservatory of Music at age 9 and was certified with the Highest level of Piano Performance for non-music major by the Chinese Musical National  Committee at age 14. She was the full scholarship recipient to the Piano Program in Masterworks Music Festival for the summer of 2009 and 2010.

Ms. Chen worked as the piano accompanist in Grace College, Winona Lake, Indiana from 2008-2010. She attended Ball State University with a full assistantship and gained her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance and Pedagogy in 2013. Along with that, she gained another Master’s degree in Business Administration through a full assistantship in 2015.

Ms. Chen had been an active performer in the community. She worked with numerous instrumentalists and vocalists in her staying in the state of Indiana from 2010-2016 and California from 2016-2018.

Ms. Chen is a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in Piano through Music Teachers National Association and a member of Maryland State Music Teachers Association.
